After several weeks of hard (but fun) labor, I finally finished with my cab. I will soon take it to the body shop and, while waiting, begin working on the chassis. I've already finished the front and rear suspension, power steering and new brake components. Next will be the in-frame gas tank, brake and gas lines.
Gotta love a guy with a sense of humor! Nice job on the rust eraser. What will you be using for the fuel tank. I've got a tech article on how I did mine FWIW.... see link below.
It's a 17 Gal under the bed steel tank from LMC. I got one of those slick flush mount fillers too that will center in one of the oak planks. I'll review your tech articles...thanks.
Watch your LMC purchases... they buy a lot of parts from other manufacturers (like CPP) and then mark the price up by as much as 40%.....
Thanks...will do. I think their gas tank was fairly priced though. It was $200 and included the sending unit and mounting straps.
