What products have y'all used? I have used dynamat and EZ cool in the past, but wanted to see if anyone has used fat mat, hushmat, or secondskin and how they compare with sound dampening and keeping the heat out.

I heard the stuff from Lowes/HD while cheaper may emit toxic fumes, especially on a hot day. Not a big deal on the house, but a problem in a small closed in truck cab.

    Thanks!

Im using the stuff from the hardware store cus its super cheap. Its sticking good and I hope will deaden the sound good but, im not sure how it will work in the heat.

This is something I'm interested in myself.

Here's a site that I've found really helpful, since making my truck as quiet as possible is one of my goals.
Apparently sound deadeners that involve tar are not only toxic, but ineffective and break down very quickly, particularly in the heat.

    Hope it helps,

I have used Dynamat and hushmat, and I prefer Hushmat. It isn't as particular and sticks to anything!
