The work on the Nova rear installation and the front disc conversion at my friend's shop is moving along extremely well. Modification to the backing plates on the '73 Nova rear had allowed me to use the stock E-brake cables which is great. Waiting on the slip yoke driveshaft to come in from the driveshaft builder.

Believe it or not, the hardest thing about this whole conversion is finding the wheels I need for it at a decent price. I want to put OE style steel wheels on it so I can run my dog dish style Chevy caps. Nothing fancy?just functional.

Well, trying to find 15" X 6" small bolt pattern (5 X 4.75") GM intermediate steel wheels with a 4" backspace has proven to be quite the challenge. The local wheel guy cannot get them new. Says they haven't made them in a long time. Catalogs and internet show them, but at $75.00 a piece plus shipping, almost $500.00 for a set of steel wheels is ludicrous.

You would think that these wheels would be a dime a dozen and available at any quality junkyard. I even drove about an hour away yesterday to one of the biggest boneyards in my area and spoke to the counter guys there (good, knowledgable, friendly). They said that those wheels are getting increasingly hard to find as all the local stock car guys (there's a roundy round track only a couple miles away) use them up.

Anybody got a couple or four of these wheels laying around? 15" X 6", 4" backspace, 5 X 4 3/4" bolt pattern GM intermediate wheel like from an early to mid '70's Cutless or similar?

    Thx,

    Andy
