The owner of the almost finished 52 Suburban we did took it to the muffler shop to have the exhaust installed and had an almost tragic happening. When the man went to check the system for leaks it dropped down into reverse and caught him between the door and the lift post. It wrapped the door into the front fender and bent the door pillar out three inches but did not require him to stay in the hospital. A near miracle in my mind. I liked the owner before and even more after because the first words out of his mouth were, "is Sherman alright?" and "metal can be fixed". We will have to cut a cowl/pillar section out of one of the parts trucks and use another door because the ones on it are completely trashed.

They say that safety is no accident. Glad everyone was OK.
I have a friend who has been building high end custom cars for most of his adult life, and he has finally reached a point that he no longer tells kids not to touch his car. He says that the point of making / having one is so that people can enjoy them. What's a couple of little finger prints or even scratches? it can always be repainted. This is his web page http://mcspeed.homestead.com/

    Safety knows no season !

This is my basic mantra , always .

I'm glad Sherman is O.K. , with a vehicle under power the inertia can pop a Human Being like a rotten tomato .
