Lets play "Hide the air ride controls"

From the beginning I have always wanted the interior of "Henry" to appear very close to stock.....stock seat, stock wheel and column, etc. About the only thing visible from the windows is additional temp gauge that I am using since I added the SBC. With the addition of air ride this winter, I...

    1949 rewiring.......

Henry's wiring is become a nightmare. Partial original wiring with stuff added on when I went to 12v, and then again when I added the SBC. What is the most painless rewire kit? If there is such a thing. Stock truck with electric wipers, stereo and amp, electric cooling fan, HEI and SBC...

Leaf Springs- Dropped leaf vs stock ride

Looking to update the suspension on Henry. New leaf springs and mounting shackles, etc. Looking at stock springs, as well as lowered springs from Eaton. Obviously ride quality is subjective. Can anybody compare ride quality for stock vs lower springs?

    Brake Pedal Bumper?

My memory sucks some days. Seems to me I remember a rubber bumper on the brake pedal for when it comes up to hit the firewall. Am I dreaming this up? I cannot find it in any catalogs.

I plan on building my own exhaust for Henry. The local shop wants waay too much to do it. Can anybody recommend a good sounding muffler? Nice rumble but not too loud or obnoxious on the highway.

    Building a 261

I picked up a running (supposedly) '55 261. Motor #3733950. I also picked up a 235 with a bad lower end. The 235 has the good 848 head. I also got a set of Fenton headers. Besides that I am looking for some advice on cam, intake, ignition, carb etc. On a budget of course...

I am using the stock rear brake pedal on my 49 with an upgraded master cylinder, prop valve and disc brakes in the front. I was sitting in "Henry" tonight and wondering why the damn brake pedal has to sit so far off the floor. It is about 9-1/2" off the floor. It sure would be alot easier to...

    Water pump woes......1949 216ci

Struggling with some water pump woes and could use some insight. When I fired "Henry" up from his 30 year slumber, the water pump was leaking though the pulley seal. No big deal, I had a spare pump that came with the truck. I installed that pump and it also leaked. I ordered a new pump...

Anybody interested in an old truck calendar? It was brought up to put one together. Rather than use all my pictures, I would like to see some other members submit some and put it all together. Probably looking at about $30 shipped. Thoughts?
