We took the Camaro out for a spin on Friday.
We did our normal backroads wandering and then headed into town for some fuel.
As I'm fueling up a guy about our age comes up and he is asking Teresa and I questions about the car. Another gal comes up and says: There's something green running out...
I wondered if the owner of this truck is a member here... and if he would like a copy of the photos I took?
We were on the 3rd floor at The Double Eagle hotel, and as soon as we checked into the room, I snapped a couple photo's... just as the driver and a woman were getting into the truck...
Neat thread Nate. I really like your bad motor scooter!
You should have the moderators change the title though. If folks are like me, anything Covid related I avoid like.. well... the Plague. #biggrin#
Only reason I even looked at the thread was you authored it... and knowing your past...
Have you checked E-bay?
Here's one:1941 1946 chevrolet pickup half ton truck transmission 1/2 gmc chevy 1947

Kymberly,
Nate's giving you good advice. Keep it simple. But I know from experience that finding oem wheels for these trucks can be a challenge. Many companies still make replacement steel wheels for these trucks. But those new wheels will need painted and some sort of hubcaps. All that...
Yeah.. that still happens on occasion. :D
With a vehicle on the lift in the raised position I've rammed my head into them to many times to count. Actually messed my neck up for a couple weeks one time walking into a tire.
1st world problems.
I used to wonder... Why do the arms on our Rotary Lift rotate so far out behind the lift post?

Sounds like a fun project, but it'll be a money pit. I lost my arse on my '65 Orange Crate. All those little bits and pieces add up.
But if it's a family heirloom or something like that... I get it.
As for the V8/automatic swap it's complexity increases based on the year of the V8 /...
Very sad news fellas. I got a PM from Mark's wife today on Facebook. Markeb01 passed away.
Here's a link to his 1960 GMC Build Thread
and a link to "Tribute For Mark Brazelton"
Such a great guy. He'll be missed.
G o d Speed Mark. I'm sure you're rowing through the gears, getting reacquainted...
New motion sensing light. Another one of those 5 minute projects that takes 2 hours.
I used some composite decking material as a backer plate to get it mounted correctly due to the cheepo half box the electricians used... and to get it to sit flat due to the rib panels of the steel.
Have you looked at Aftermarket Wheels | Replica Wheels | Wheel Vintiques®
I knocked the centers out of some Corvette Rally Wheels and relocated them to get the tires centered just right on a '72 Nova. Another "old school" trick... and when possible yields a much better method than using...
