I have a 8 prong plug on my tilt GM column (Delco Remy plug 08 67) and need to wire into the 1957 Wiring Harness ......anbody have a clue what goes where ? Or if I can find the diagram for the column plug I have now? Thanks Shawn

Hey Rick, I have 57 Chev,,if its the same type of seal,, You need to get the seal on the glass first. Take some twine or bailing rope and run it around the inside track of the rubber,,overlap the rope ends,,,,,,set the glass on the window frame bottom first,,, with one out to push on glass...

Anyone have any idea what the correct direction of the offset washers is for the bed mount washers? ie...the large offset must go towards cab for all? or towards the side of truck? Or ? Thanks Shawn

Since this harness has no provision for fuses, I installed a fuse for the headlamps and probably shoud put one from main power supply? Any suggestions ? I cannot yet figure out how to get this thing to charge...If anyone has used the standard harness w/alternator ....maybe you can help me out...

Is it standard? Might be stuck in forward and reverse gear... freee up the linkages from below to ensure it is in nuetral,, then go from there..... Or brakes are sized onto drums....??

Anybody know the procedure to change out the vent window weather strip on a 57 before I start drilling out rivets and breaking stuff ? LOL! Also, front window weatherstrip has an extra bit o' rubber on 1/2 or more of it....does this go on top or bottom of window? Any ideas are...

ANybody know the correct locatioon for the V 8 emblem on 57 ? I've seen pics of them on the door - in line with 3100 emblem and I also saw an d ad where they were placed on lower front edge of doors ? Anyone know for sure? Thanks ;)

I ran grease in mine too and found it to work fine with less of a leaky mess. However I did buy a rebuild kit and I am gonna try it and see how long before I run out of rags !!!

What do you mean by "step bracket" ? I don't think you could "spring" the cab out of position by removing the step... I did both sides on my truck without any braces tacked in place. Shawn

Anyone have any idea as to the width of bed wood planks needs for 55-57 short box step side trucks? There are 8 planks used, but I am not certain of the widths needed and the thickness that wood ! need to be used! Thanks Shawn:confused:

Did you have 1 or 2 wire going to the starter ? I am still struggling a bit....... I just ran the + coil wire direct to + side of HEI I got it running , but no accesories are polugged in yet......I am afraid of frying it !! Thanks Shawn
