Neither one is best for me, since I don't like reds so I can't help.

    Mother Trucker

See the blue box with your name in it?? Well, go to Mother Truckers blue box and click on "dead zone truckin" and then you'll see a black box pop up. Look for "start conversation" and click on that and then you can type each other love letters:p:D

    216/235 Bellhousing Mounts Q.

I have never seen any type of "steel rod" on the rear motor mounts. The photo from my manual shows the mount exactly as my mount is: A "L" shaped mount that fits in the palm of your hand, with 2 bolts to the bell housing and in the case of my 51, 2 bolts to the crossmember, per side.

    V8 swap to stock SM 420 4-speed

But that's what happens. The granny gear is designed for a certain rear ratio. Regardless, the engine, transmission and rear gear ratio, even the size of the tires should match so it all works properly, in unison.

    V8 swap to stock SM 420 4-speed

People always treat a 4 speed granny gear transmission as a regular 4 speed. The Granny Gear should only be used for when pulling power is needed. Otherwise, the transmission is used as a standard 3 speed, meaning that 2nd gear will act as 1st gear, 3rd is 2nd, and 4th is 3rd.

I bought a few Stainless Bolts at Home Depot, but I didn't remove the lettering. I can live with that but it's a easy process and like you said, you save money.

    Front fender to cowl, seal.

By the way, make certain you measure the bed blocks. I bought new ones and they were 2 1/2 inches tall, when they should be 2 1/4 inches tall. All I did was cut the extra quarter inch off. I also glued aluminum tubing into the hole of the block and sprayed the block with some flex seal. I...

    Front fender to cowl, seal.

If they did, it was waffle pattern, which was also used on the inside roof area. I think Classic Parts sells a roll of if.

    Front fender to cowl, seal.

You can make your own with roofing paper because that is basically what the original seal was and it's what is used between the inner and outer fender.

    1953 Chevrolet 3100 - brake lines

That line that burst is the size of all the lines except the master cylinder line. NOT a banjo bolt. It's just a big nut.

    1953 Chevrolet 3100 - brake lines

That big NUT is part of the master cylinder. It is not removed unless you're rebuilding the master cylinder. Also, the brake line that goes from the master cylinder to the brass tee is is a larger line than the rest of the brake lines.

    On the mend...

I've had hearing loss since birth and it's not the end of world and people are very understandable about it. There are only a few clowns who have been neg about it but they no longer have teeth.

    Fuse box

I mounted my fuse box on the Driver's side kick panel, high up so it's hidden by the dash board.
