    Manifold Gasketing

Fuel crossover Nate, these are great ol pickups. Ive owned 4 or 5 of them. One thing that sticks in my mind, If you have duel tanks with the electric change over(rocker switch on the dash) always use the tank that energized (valve) first. Those valves have been known to die. And always carry a...

    53-54 Grill Swap

I've always liked the 54 grill, my first truck 31 years ago. The 47-53 are pretty plentiful, but they only made that dash, windshild, fenders and grill for a year and a half.

    Factory 4sp question

The drive gear is machined in the rear yolk. The gear that the speedo is hooked to has a small bolt and a tab that hold it in. The housing and the gear come out together. Chris

    51 gmc

The front crossmember on the GMC is differant than a chevy. You can change out your chevy crossmember for a GMC's, but then you'll have to make new mounts for the front of your 235 cause the gmc engines are longer.

The one ton sheetmetal is the same as the 3/4 and 1/2. 1-1/2 ton and larger has bigger fenders, hood, grill, bumper, inner fenders.

    Rear End Help

Make sure the pinion nut is tight to start with. The rear ratio is going to be 3.90, if it still has the original in it. If you change out the whole unit than I would find a 67-70 rear. You will have to cut off the old perches and weld on new ones. I did this swap on my 59 and it worked out...

    Trans Bearing Retainer Shaft

Your throwout bearing will work on the T-5, provided its the right length. You will need a different front yoke (from a T-350 I think). You will need a differant clutch disc. Ive read of people using one from an Astro van or a Vega, but you need to reserch that better. Also the retainer is too...

    1951 chevy clock

54 Clock That looks like a 54 truck housing, as well as the clock. There was a wind up and a electric. It was one of many accesories available back then. Mounts on the dash above and between the guage clusters. I know I wouldent modify it to fit, they are worth pretty good money. Chris

Check your casting #s below the distributer, WWW...
