    Sold my truck

Cool thing. Turns out there’s lots of little things I need to do to this boat to “make it mine”. Sadly, a lot of it revolves around wiring projects. So, I’ll still have something to piddle with, just not an AD.

    Sold my truck

HA!!! Gee- thanks for all the offers to put me to work! Sadly I still have my house to paint. But hey, I did come up with a little rebuild project- cosmetics only. #cool# Evan- anyone on here- you will always be welcome here!

    Sold my truck

Good news, the custodian that is a huge CHIEFS fan and lives right around the corner from me bought it. Didn’t sell it for the money, it just became clear it was more of a toy than a need.

Two More Questions and Blank off Plate Picture needed

Well, sorry it took so long getting back to you but this teaching gig has me short on “free time”. That’s why I’m much more of a pest come summertime. Anyway, the weatherstripping for those plates is part of the”Inner Fender Seals” kit listed as part # 37-725. The metal pieces are part # 37-791...

Progress, however slow... but isn't it about the JOURNEY?

Glad to hear you’re using mechanical help. This kind of stuff is why my dad had four boys.

Actually, I ordered mine through our host and they came with them. I believe. Glad I could help!

Progress, however slow... but isn't it about the JOURNEY?

My goodness- every time I read your posts about the timbers you’re working with, my hands blister, my back goes out, and I break out in sweat! 8X12X24?!? Holy moly that’s a heck of a timber! Please tell me you have a bobcat or something to help with the lifting? Can’t wait to see the bones photos!

Two More Questions and Blank off Plate Picture needed

Sorry this took so long! Hopefully these might help? I believe I used an adhesive to help hold the rubber in place. Same stuff I used on my fender welting. Good luck!

    Steve's 50 re-re-rebuild

Wow, Steve!!! You really know how to motivate a guy to take a road trip!!! How about we plan on somewhere during the summer of 2020? That way your truck will be done and Mikes house and barn will be finished. #wink#

    The butchers wife

What an awesome story!!! That’s a really fine looking truck, too! I love the interior! Time for someone to do some signage on the doors and use it to further advertise (although it doesn’t sound like it needs much) the store! See why I love photos? Happy endings are pretty cool too! #cool# Way...

    Steve's 50 re-re-rebuild

283?!? Drooling... That’s exactly what I would replace my 228 with whenever it decides to give up the ghost!

    Hello, My Name is...

Great photo update!!! It looks like you have good reason to still be working on the cab! It looks like a nice save! Let’s hear it for work trucks. I am so thankful what I got had next to no rot anywhere. What a time saver that was! Keep on keeping on! Any idea on color?

    Steve's 50 re-re-rebuild

Beautiful stuff, Steve! Soon I will be repainting my dash, for the 3rd time. (Rattle can) I still want to cut out the radio plug and fill it with metal. Evan gave me a game plan I will follow for that. (Thanks again Evan!) I never painted the underside of my truck. I figure it’s easier to see if...

    49 GMC Progress Report

Wide whites! The colors/paint scheme are perfect with the wide whites! The others look okay, so then it comes down to “okay” vs “perfect”. But as soooo many others on here have said, “It’s your ride, so...” Man, this Spring Break I have GOT to get to the junkyard and buy my fenders and tailgate...

    January 2019 Weather

Wow! Beautiful photos! In Kansas, we went from summer to winter, and so far this month, milder than usual. I’m all for “milder than usual”. It’s supposed to be winter weather tomorrow, but then above freezing temperatures after that. Stay safe.

    Wiper Blade Attachment Question

Thanks, Bill! A picture is worth a thousand words, and what you posted gives me an idea to try. If it works, I’ll post a photo.

    Wiper Blade Attachment Question

Who knew? I’m terribly sorry I didn’t post photos. I just asked for one of yours (assembled) because I figured these would all be the same. #confused# (Especially since our host doesn’t have options to speak of) Anyway, always glad to oblige! #biggrin# Obviously I need a new spring for the arm...
