Hey guys, going to do the 2 1/2 drop spindles and discs on my 62 soon. Has anyone tried taking the calipers to a machine shop to have them milled instead of grinding them down with an angle grinder? Then would you still need spacers? This is so they will clear the inside of the old rims...

Interesting. My old ratty planks did seem to have a deeper cut on the inside edge, I thought it was just from 50yrs of wear. Makes sense to have the sharp edge of the strip in a groove.

Kept the generator for the old feel and it works fine even with all the camper lights.......

I see that it has bucket seats. But I put the pics in my gallery anyway for reference as to having a 4 spd handle that clears the bench seat. It looks real tall in the photo but is actually only 17in tall from shifter to ball.
