    Glove door help

It sounds like you don't have the hinge assembly which mounts the glove box door and the glove box. It attaches to the door opening in the dashboard with two screws on each side.

    New Gen Engine /Trans Questions

The 5.3 with the 4L60E trans came into production in 1999 and is now plentiful on the market and relatively inexpensive. This combo fits our trucks like it was born there. Probably the only pricey item that is needed is a motor wiring harness unless you're a auto electric genius and you can...

Ignition ballast resistor or resistance wire ?

    spotweld cutters

Spotweld cutters are a lifesaver but they just don't last long especially when cutting the harder, thicker material that the older vehicles were made out of. If you got 10 cuts out of one blade you did very well.

    Yet another gas tank question

I don't think that a plastic tank in a place that could prove vulnerable in the event of a rear end collision is a good idea even if they did do it on TV. I'm using stainless steel.

    Power Brake problems

Those 7" boosters work OK on roadsters and other liteweight stuff like that but my guess would be that it's too small for your truck. Try a 9" booster instead.

    Floor seal

Anyone know of a source for a gasket or seal for the removable trans cover in the floorboard? You know the one with the hole in it for the 4 speed toploader gearbox. I've looked through everyone's catalog with no luck. Thanks......

    carb problems

It sound like you may have all of the symptoms of a phenomenon called heat soak percolation. This usually occurs when the engine is stopped during warm weather or after it has been run long enough to be fully warmed up. In this case, insufficient cool air is blown over the engine. Heat stored in...
