[updated:LAST EDITED ON Apr-21-06 AT 02:29 PM (CST)]I built my truck from a few existing trucks. I checked the vins on the two bodies I used in the build, and one is a c20 and the other is a k10. I'm currious to know what the chassis really is ... whether it is a 1/2 or a 3/4 because I dont know if the chassis came from one of these bodies or not. Soo im wondering if there is a way to find out by looking at the chassis or something ??? any help would be great thanks.

There is a vin on the frame somewhere that will tell you which truck it came from. As far as the suspension strength, look at the axles; if they're from the K10, they will be 6 lug. 3/4 ton and 1 tons are 8 lug for 2wd and 4wd.

    vin frame

ok for the vin on the frame, it's on three places one place is right top under cap this seam to hold up the best if you can read it might have to blast it to read them.another around the cab and box. one on the side think it's the driver side. around front part of the box.
