This one's for Nate, or anyone who can help me find the voltage regulator Nate says we need to run our 6v fuel gauges when converted to 12v.

I went to a couple of electronics stores in the neighborhood the past couple of days to find one of these jewels, but no luck. The youngsters I spoke with practically ran from me in the store.

I installed one of Chevy Duty's resistor voltage reducers about 5 years ago, i hope I haven't burned my fuel gauge up yet.
    any suggestions besides radio shack?

Jim, add three lightning bugs per gallon of gas and you'll be fine! After I get back from Port Mansfield, I'm coming to Port Arthur. Pics to follow!

    nice specs!

Pretty nice mess of 'sow" trout Ken.

Good luck on your trip. If you head to Port Arthur, make sure you contact me prior to getting here.

I went bass fishing in the marsh last week, only caught 3 fish in about an hour and a half. These were all over 4 lbs each. I may post my boy's picture with a mess of fish we caught 2 weeks ago.

    Fuel Gauge Voltage Regulator

    WOW ! nice catch ! .

I'll try to remember to look up the voltage regulator , I've never done it so it'll be a new thing for me to learn , sounds pretty simple tho' .

Remind me in a week or so as I might forget over vacation , I plan to try and get some _sleep_ .

    ;)

RUNTZ. They are a little pricey, around $15, but absolutely drop the voltage and keep it constant. The resistance voltage drop units will fluctuate with the charging system, being 8+ volts when charging voltage is high. I think this site sponsor has them, or if not Speedway does.
