i whant to use radials and oridginal hub caps on 1948 1/2ton 6 lug. i need tiers and rims. are the original rims adiquit or what other year rims are available and what is the rim size and tier size. thanks
Tire Size Yes ; The original one piece rims are more than adequate . Be sure to use LT tires as your truck is heavier than a passenger car . I posted the correct size but forget what it is right now so look in older posts , to get the right vintage look , it is important to use the correct aspect ratio . The good folks here will chime in with the correct size shortly .
When you switch to radials keep in mind you may need to reset the toe.On my 57 I had to set the toe to less than a 1/16 toed in and a caster adjustment.I'm happy with the results of the radials. Good Luck Bobby
