I think I've mentioned before that my grandpa-in-law who previously owned my truck was a mechanic and kept all of his "tune-up" records in a 1934 Chevrolet Truck sales type booklet. The book is about 50 pages in color. I had some time today to scan the parts of it that he kept his records on, as well as the back pages that have complete specifications for the 1934 1/2 ton and 1 1/2 ton trucks. Thought you might enjoy some of his chicken scratches describing his engine changes, modifications, 6V to 12V conversion, etc. March 1963 is his first entry...that's 12 years before I was born!! These first three pics are of the cover, inside cover and first page. Starts out with a bang, doesn't it?..."235 crank in 216 block, 3/32" cut off from top of pistons". Apparently Grandpa knew what he was doing.

    Specs

I'm not sure of how legible these pages turned out, but if anyone has interest in them, I can email the jpeg or try to rescan them to pdf for you.

EDIT: As originally suspected, can't read these pages...oh well, they're pretty generic anyway!

OOPS forgot the page that's buried in the middle somewhere...
There's a lot of detailed cartoon type drawings in this book...fascinating diagrams and stuff. I'll try to scan some of the highlights and share.

Thanks nate, I wish I would have known him when he was still of sound mind. I have only known him for six years now and his alzheimers continues to worsen. I had only visited with him two or three times before he asked my father-in-law to give the truck to me (before his own flesh and blood). I consider it a great honor and hope to preserve the truck for one of my sons to some day inherit.
