I'd never fire and engine dry like that ~ old 216's have cast iron pistons and you can sore the cylinder walls easily or collapse the rings , running sans water . I hope you'll keep us posted on the ressurection of this Paddy Wagon .
Engine start. The best way of teaching kids is working together with the adults doing the practicall mecanicall work. But it needs a lot of patience thats fore shore. The engine whas overhauled before it whas started and the kids liked the lot of oilsmoke that came from the valves. The project made much plessuare as they where at school actually.
