I'd like to find out or get an idea what a 1947 model 3100, five window pickup sold for new. Anyone know where I can find that info.

    Hm ,

This was long before the window stickers were required so there might not have been a set list price .

Maybe Kelly Blue Book vintage can tell you the dealer's price then figure the markup from there...

    I dunno .

    Zig,
I looked at the 48 Chev 3/4 and the 48 GMC 3/4 and I saw $15.00 diff. Evne that much more for a GMC is hard for me to understand. It must have been for the tow bar on the front. Oh no, wait a minute, that is the grille.:)

Of course, I was looking at the initial value. You must have been looking at current value. Still hard to imagine.

    My bad...

    Average Retail of a 3/4 G = 10,600. Average retail of a 3/4 Chevy = 9,050. That's actually a difference of
    $1,550!!!

    It's worse than we thought!:D

I need to find the person who figured these prices up and have a drink with him or her. My bet is they're still drunk!:p

    By the way~

Unless you own a GMC, don't even THINK of looking at the "Average Retail" price comparison between 1/2 tons. (G vs Chevy)

    Ouch!

    I'm all :D though!
