    Oil cannister hookup

    Welcome aboard Pail butler.

The old Chevy manual link shows clearly how to manage the hookup. The other link is from members here at the forum ! I would advice to check out the tiny miny passage hole inside the cannister before using it , as they easely get clothed up by oil sludge . With the result that no oil runs through the drain but wil be pressed out of the cannister top cover!

Good Luck With the truck Martinius.
P.s. maybe you could post some pics of Your AD. These old farts here at the forum love them :D .

    54 oil canister

Still no help.. It's a 1st edition 55 .., I have NO outlet port on the bottom of the block by the oil pan that I can find but I do have a port on top of the block next to tappit cover .. Do I tee out of the oil sending unit port on top of the block at the back of the motor next too the tappit cover ?
