I have a 54 GMC pickup that has been converted to 12volts (not by me). There was no horn when I bought it. I'm in the process of installing an aftermarket 12 volt horn and discovered the old 6 volt Delco Remy relay is burned out.
    My question is?
Do I need to use a 12 volt relay switch and if so which one?

    Thanks,
    Jerry

If you are a stickler for origional, probably NAPA. otherwise I would just wire up an SPDT relay under the dash. wire it ground from horn wire to 85, 12v. to 86 and 87a, 30 goes out to horn. when grounded, relay sends 12v. to horn.
