I'm doing a complete restoration including the 248 ci engine . long story short w/ others help , machine shop and time lapse I got here and now am in the process of putting in the distributor. but my problem is I can't locate the timing marks and not sure if I am missing something? usually found on front lower pulley and timing housing ,is there a plate that didn't get put back on or could it be on the flywheel ,thanks

Look through the hole on the passenger side back of the block. There is a BB imbeded in the flywheel. The BB should line up at the center of the pointer in the hole for TDC.
