Please forgive the newbie question. Admittedly, I'm a novice and this is the first restore I've ever done. It's been a dream of mine to do this for 20 years and I finally have the wherewithal to start doing it. Now that I've started, I can't stop! Anyway...hello all!

I've got a 64 GMC with a converted 3 speed manual on the floor (used to be on the column). I've got back up lights on the bad from my donor but I can't find where to buy the backup light switch set up. I know it's probably going to be a 4 speed and there are plenty of those but I'm not sure which one would work for me. Any suggestions?

Hurst 4 speed back up light switch

Are you the type that can do a bit of fabrication? Hurst makes a kit with a switch that activates via the transmission reverse lever. With a bit of fabrication and some good ole fashion ingenuity I am sure you could make this work with your transmission.

Also, do a google image search for "hurst 4 speed back up light switch"

Hope this helps... and good luck to ya.

I think you've got to have a little ingenuity to do this type of thing in the first place. I was just thinking that someone's had to run into this before...no need to reinvent the wheel, you know. :) That helps a lot though. Thanks! I'll make it work! Onward!
