1964 GMC truck 305 V6

    I have one of those 305 V6 in 64 GMC truck I would like to know if there is a 5 speed trany out there that will fit. It has a 4 speed standard transmission.
    Someone please give me some/any advice or suggestions. please:eek::confused:

    If I had to guess I would say it's the same as the v8's, and the late model 5 Spd's should bolt right up. The 5 spd's will bolt up with no problem to all the 50's and 60's Chevy and GMC inliners.....Big Tim :cool:

    IIRC, you'll need to use an adapter. I believe there is a more modern aftermarket-type of adapter that is readily available from Bendtsen's Transmission - this will allow you to bolt up any Chevy-type of transmission combination.

    Thanks for your suggestions, I will look further into the V8 model's and will keep you updated on the project:) Please keep suggestions coming if you hear of anything else:)
    By the way the 63 c-10 is Sweet:)
