1967 front clip????

I am trying to up grade the front clip on my 6 lugg drum brake front end. A "shade tree mechanic" said that unbolting the front clip from under a donor 1985 pickup will bolt right on..... has anyone done this before?? That's alot of work to have to put the old right back... Any notice to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Yes you can remove the crosmember and all it's compnents and bolt it into your truck. You might have to do some drilling though. You can also order new 6 lug rotors so you don't have to replace the wheels.
