1985 c10 sidestep wiper problem

hey everyone i just bought the new motor for the windshield wiper pump thingy for the fluid i dont know what its really called but yeah, for some reson the switch does not work and it gets power 24/7 and then at other times it gets no power at all, where would the problem be?

Check the dash ground, its located on the left side above the emergency brake pedal

i figured it out, looked at the wiper relay turned out a capacitor on the board was blown, good thing i know electronics works fine cost me 50 cents for the new capacitor instead of like 300$ for the new relay XD
