2003 silverado gauges

Hi all I have a 2003 silverado, the gauges are irratic, the speedo sometimes works normally then it shows Im doing a 120mph, the temp guage sometimes dont work, and also the oilpressure comes and goes not correct, is there something that controls all of them,a computer or what could be the problem? thanks, Im lost when it comes to electrical diagnosing....

I had a 1992 gmc that had similar symptoms.. it turned out that the guage cluster "plugs" in. all in one big plug like a module in a computer board.. it is is loose, or the connections are dirty it will show eractic readings.. also a low battery will sometimes give similar symptoms because all the electrical sensors run of a certain voltage.
