235 performance rebuild

I have a 1954 chevy 1/2 ton with the original 235 engine in it. I have never had any problems with the engine and it is a very strong and dependable engine. I want to get the most horsepower out of it by rebuilding it and and adding performance parts!! I am new with this and want any information that i can get on tips to rebuild the engine, what performance parts to add and machine work to be done for the highest performance at a reasonable cost! any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Go look at older posts as ths has come up time and time again and I've covered it all it detail , it's all quite simple but takes time and close attention to detail .

A 235 will never be a high revving engine .
