I'm trying to find out if what I'm experiencing is normal or I've got a problem. Re-wiring a 66 with a 250. Purchased the wiring harnesses from our Sponsor... Wired as per instructions, but noticed when I turn the ignition on the the wire from the ignition to the starter solenoid (aluminum resistance wire) gets warm...this wire is split at the starter and goes to the distributor coil. Is this resistance wire supposed to warm up or do I have some sort of problem....maybe a ground? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
from my knowlage and the knowlage of my father/ his friends who all do hotrobs, rebuilds and are all currently mechanics that are very experienced and paid alot lol they said the wire is supposed to get warm, and one of them told me "f!@k off Robert im working" lol but yeah so i think it is supposed to get warm, but i would double check with other members, i may be wrong, but i dont think i am.
