'55.2/'56 GMC 3/4 ton trucks used a rear end listed as "GM SS H050" in the GMC Maintenance Manual.

Did Chevy use the same rear end on 3/4 ton models?

Did GMC use the same rear end on earlier models?

MG0519 doesn't ring any bells with me.

The H050 number is more of a model number (like saying Ford 9 inch or Dana 60) than a specific part number or casting number, so there is no point crawling under your truck looking for what I wanted.

    Thanks for offering though.

    Still chugging along.

Didn't you chamge out the front end of your '57? Did you replace the steering column? Still have the old column? Does it have turn signals? I know a fellow old trucker that is looking for the complete turn signal mechanism.
