I just took a few pics from my cell before I went into work this morning... it's coming along pretty good, it's a long way in my mind from being finished but it's getting there. it's not going to be frame off quality but i'm doing what i can with my budget... Enjoy Thanks Mike
Looking Good ! Wow ; The sheet metal looks better than when it was new ! I don't see a ripple anywhere . What's the drive train you're running ? . Keep up the good work and keep us posted .
Hey Vwnate1, Thanks for the nice words. It's a 1/2 ton running gear 10 bolts stock gearing with a 350 and a 4-speed sm465 125,000 miles on stock motor... runs smooth Beleive it or not every piece of sheetmetal was replaced except the two bed sides. Just a short run down NEW: Hood Fenders Inner Fenders Doors Tailgate Front Bed Panel Cab Corners Rockers It's not that they were all completely a mess BUT it was easier and more cost effectiveto replace. I tried to get the best quality replacement parts as I could and I know that they are not GM quality but they took the paint and body work great... Another Interesting fact here is that the body guy did NOT skim coat to get the body as straight as he did.... he said to me that it was better for him to primer and block and that's what he did..... so it won't crack etc. later on All in ALL I am VERY happy... and like I said to be continued.... Here are a few before pics and current interior
