    ??????

Depends upon what you need. Do you need the transmission? Or do you need the column shifter assembly? I have it all if you need it. Located in New York.

Thanks everyone: I need the transmission (syncros on 2nd and 3rd and enclosed torque tube)- the shift linkage seems to be OK. I'm in Durango Colorado.

    Richard,

The three speed tranny I have came out of my '54 parts truck. It will bolt up just fine. I have no idea of the condition. I will open it up and take a look at the guts this week and let you know. Send me a PM with your email address and I will send along some pics of it after I open it up so you can see its condition. You can have it cheap. I shipped another trans to TX and it cost about $50.00 to ship it. You can have it for shipping costs plus $35.00 (my labor and costs to crate and bring to shipper). Just happy to help out.

    Column Shifter

    Andy,

I need the column shifter, if still available. I have a universal floor shifter now, but want to go back to the original setup. I need the gear shifter, shifter box, and linkage. Let me know how much and the condition. I live in Va.

    Thanks,
    Howard

I have one near the Dallas area and a friend that goes to Colorado Springs once a month to visit his elderly father. I think he usually drives his pickup and would be happy to take it to that point. It's a diesel truck so he might take his car with the price of diesel now. It's a new corvette so transmission hauling is probably a no-no. The trans has a baby chick price on it, you know, cheep cheep cheep. I can pop the side cover and check the guts but it came out of a driver that we did a conversion on. Don't pay till after it's installed and driven.

This one is easy ~ go to .99 CENTS store and buy box of heavy duty lawn & leaf bags , drain tranny and place in bottom of bag , twist it closed and double the bag back over , twist closed again , should be able to do this three time on one bag , now it's in a leakproof container , place inside clean cardboard box and it'll be fine in the trunk of the 'vette .

I , once you get it , the 1st. gear slider is badly worn on one side , you can flip it over 180° and re-install it for another service life , remember to always touch second gear before engauging first or reverse , this will prevent the
    " crunch ' and wear .
