3sp swap to a 4sp 67 v8 4x4

guys, what 4sp trans would be the eaisest swap to make for my original 3sp
manual. Would any 4sp from 67 to 72 be a direct replacement ? Would the donor trans need to come from a 4x4?

the 67 will have the small bore bell houing so you will need a sm420.

they switched to the 465 in 69 ish so if you find one besure to grab the bell housing for it becaus ethe throwout sleeve is bigger and will not fit in your bell housing.
