Anybody have any info or can tell me where to get some. I'm putting together a daily driver and want fuel injection and auto.
There's I guy I know here that has one in his 48, but it's got a carb on it I believe, with an auto behind it. Just go check your local junkyard for an early 90s chevy or gmc and get all the computer and wiring.
I think you will be pleased with this set up. I have used this engine in a number of swaps and it will pull right with most regular V8's to about 60 or 65mph. It is 262ci which is just 3ci less than the 55/56 265V8 that was in full sized cars and would run like scat. It is an ideal engine to replace a 4 cylinder since it will fit in without firewall or radiator issues. There will certainly be no distributor, fan, or heating problems. More people are electing to keep the 4.3 in the S10 frame swaps since no one knows what price gas will be. Using the fuel injection is the way to go because the carbed 4.3's were a little thirsty.
It uses the V8 mounts and most catalogs list many parts as fitting the 265-400 V8 AND the 4.3 V6. The front, back, and sides are just like a V8, just one cylinder shorter on each side. Nothing off the 60 degree V6 interchanges.
