I'm trying to find a torque tube entension shaft for a 1945 GMC 1/2 ton long bed (CC-102). Jim Carter truck parts has one but its 7 3/8 " long and the one that I pulled out of the truck is 8 3/8" long. I can't find one anywhere and am unsure how mduch that one inch less of contact in the slip joint out of the transmission will effect things. Any advice on where to find a shaft or if the one inch shorter on will work would be greatly appreciated. Attached is the picture of the Jim Carter one, which is exaclty the same as ours exept and inch shorter.
