    Hi Guys,

Working on a '49 Chevy. What modern front brake cylinders match up? I've found that Chevy Caprice work well in the rear... but the front has a narrower bolt pattern.

Around here original 49's are $80 a side. Where modern cyclinders run around $15.

What do you guys use? Not looking to keep it stock, just something that works.

    David.

    Huck Brakes :

Notice how ' Huck ' rhymes with " suck " ? there's a reason , scrap the entire front brakes , there are NO other wheel cylinders that'll fit those backing plates .

Here's whatcha do : troll the other posts and find someone who'd Hot Rodded a '51 ~ '67 and buy his brakes complete ~ they're Bindix and stop very well indeed , parts are super cheap too . they're a bolt up deal and usually cheap from a Hot Rodder who went to disc brakes .
