so i have this 64 C20 and a '82 K20. its been raining for a week in L.A. and i'm chicken to go out and measure the frames as my carport floods with an inch of water lol

so, does anyone have any experience with taking newer 4by parts and bolting them into older pickups? i really want a 4X4 again, i dont need 2 pickups and the '64 is too cool to sell.

how much fabrication would i have to go through? i can think of only a couple things off hand. i know the spring pads might have to be moved. but what else??.....

please share :)

To simplify the process, you may consider placing the sheetmetal from the '64 Chevy C20 on the '82 Chevy K10, in lieu of trying to place the suspension/running gear from the '82 onto the '64 frame. The profile/configuration of the 2wd frames and the 4x4 frames are not the same, therefore it is more involved/complex to place 4x4 suspension on a 2wd frame. Sheetmetal onto 4x4 rolling chassis is the way to go, in my opinion.
