    Color!

Hey Ash- you must know by now that red on top, white on the bottom with a healthy yellow band that divides the two is the way to go! :D
Of all the things to do to my truck, this is the ONLYthing I'm sure of!:(

Hey Ash, I ain't gonna touch this one! Your paint scheme is your identifying mark. Granted there are a gazillion paint colours (note the English spelling of "color") and it is very difficult to narrow it down. Figure out what basic color YOU like and then look at cars in the local parking lots and, I'll bet that something will strike your fancy.

You know, back in 1950, Chevy offered 12 colors "at no extra cost". Go to my "Member's Gallery" pictures and check out the colors for yourself.

    Ash,
I have to agree with Ken. Each to his own on the color. Purple and silver to some might be awful, to me just right. But I am going two tone with a dividing color.

What I did was I made some copies of the truck out of the Factory Assembly Manual. This was a single line drawing like you saw in your coloring books. The out came the colored pencils. This will help give you an idea as to how the truck will look.

Larry, I did the same. I ran off about 100 copies and passed them out in my classroom and had a contest. The students really got into designing my truck, I just don't know about flowers and hearts, I did like the glitter.

Cheers guys , im thinking of either a pastel colour ie pale blue with cream roof , or a very bold non metallic colour, i know they are both the opposite end of the scale but there are so many choices ill keep you all posted

Brit- you made me so proud. Since mine will never be a show truck, I'm planning on doing something awesome with "the rattle"!:D

    Colours

I agree , colour is a very personal choice .

I rather like the pastel idea myownself .

Remember too : solid body colour with contrasting fenders is period correct and I've seen some really wretched custom with this colour break in vivid shades and metallic too

Try to not do it in primer like all the kiddies who want to be ' hip ' do right now .
