The certificat of title has a VIN # JBAH14807. The metal plate attached to the drivers side door jamb has a serial # FC 102 31438. Why are the numbers different? Are they both valid numbers for this truck? What if anything do these numbers mean?
Don, The vehichle has been titled using the engine ID number(check the block behind the starter to see if this is the same number) in some states it is not uncommon to title a vehicle this way. Had the same thing with a 49 1/2 tn I have. Tom
