51 Stick shift color

I have a 51 3100 and just finished sanding the stick shift (4 spd). Does anyone know what color they were originally? If black, were they flat, semi or gloss?

Stick has normally glossy black paint with black knob to!

Floor Shifter Knobbie

I found a bright red PTO knob and used it on my floor shifter , kinda hokey and Country I guess but I liked it anyways .

Your shifter should be glossy black but adding some color brightens up the cab .
