54 Chevy 235 oil pan gaskets

    I’m replacing the oil pan gaskets on 54 Chevy 235 straight 6 the gaskets I bought are cork material brand feel pro. So my question is that the cork front and rear gaskets for oil pan don’t fit in the slot do I need to cut to fit if so what is the best way to get a straight cut

    The block casting number in your other post is a 58-62, which takes a different oil pan gasket than a 54 would.
    You want Fel-Pro OS5153C.

    And, don't forget to post pictures!

    Thanks for the info I was about to begin installing the gaskets. So that means that is not the original engine on my 1954 Chevy 3100 series
