1955 Chevy 1st series pickup truck, which is rare, since they only produced them 6 months.10K on boxed 235" engine since installed in 1973. Work done in last year: 12V, complete new brake system: master cylinder, wheel cylinders, lines, etc. Brakes have expensive synthetic brake fluid for long life. New king pin bushings, new muffler & tailpipe, new emergency brake line & cable. Good tailgate, has open driveshaft, dash never cut, good running boards & windshield, good battery box. 44148 on odometer. Needs door glass & rear glass. Cab corners, cowl, left rear fender, and cab floor have some rust. (Cowl panel on drivers side has been creased and removed and a pattern made for a new piece which can be done at a sheet metal shop. That cowl piece is inside the cab. Also bumpers are there. Was converted to floor shift. (I have shift lever if you want to go back to column shift. Original tranny is available for $100). Picture of engine shows carb removed. It was "borrowed" to crank another truck. It is back in place now. Last cranked 2 years ago. .
