Hello Guys,(and better halfts)
I replace my small window 59 cab with a decent large window 55 cab in very good condition, (2nd searies cab) and my question is the hood hinges, on a 59, the hinges the springs are connect to the inerter fenderwell and the hinged, on the 55 they self-contained?, not connected to the inter fenderwell? (is this a correct statement) Also the hinges are different from 55-57 to 58-59. My second question is when I switch cabs kipping my truck a 59 series should I have changed the hinges also? (59 hinges on a 56 cab?) My problem is at the cowl the hood is up about a ¼ inch. I can push it down from the outside once the hood is closed. I remember some early posting, of adding shims to some location to correct this. Thanks,
Also on a personal note, my son comes home this month (September) from deployment over seas. God bless the U.S.
