59 apache frame swap

    Can anyone tell me what late model frames will work for swap of my 59 stepside apache? Thank you for your time and suggestions! CB

    My 59 fleetside has a 69 camaro stub up front, it mates up perfectly

    The 67- 73 Camaro sub frame will work but it puts the steering column between your feet because it has rear steering, in other words the steering box is located behind the A arms. This sub frame works best with 47-55 1St. series trucks. A better choice is the 74 and up Camaro or Nova sub frame because it is a front steer, ( steering box located in front of the A arms ) and it will locate the steering column up in to the stock location and you won't have any problems stepping on the brakes with your right foot. These sub frames are easy to install if you have some fabrication experience and can be done easily in a weekend.....Big Tim :cool:
