I'm sure this has been beat around before, but I'm new here. I have a 61 GMC half ton with the old 305 V6 in it. It does run reasonably well though pretty low on power and I drive it and use it for some hauling. But I have a friend who has what he thinks might be a 292 inline 6 that had been overhauled, it's been sitting in storage for years and his Dad passed away who owned it. I may be able to obtain and verify what it is. and I'm wondering if because of it's length and also the bell housing possible fitting the original 4 speed in the GMC it might be fairly a bolt up fit. I know engine mounts, probably radiator etc. are likely different.
