I recently purchased a "deluxe guage cluster" for my 62 C10. It is original equipment and contains guages instead of the "idiot lights" that came with the truck originally. Has any of you done this conversion? I need to know some details and where I can go to obtain the correct sending units to complete this project. I do have a shop manual, but any tricks that can be passed on would be appreciated! Mike

What Bamajohn66 said. :) I installed a deluxe guage cluster too, you will have to change the temp sending unit from a 2 prong sensor to a 1 prong sensor (V8 sensor). If the guage cluster has a oil gauge, then you'll have to run an oil line from the engine up the guage, not sure at the moment on the generator/alternator needle guage.
But depending on which guage configuration you have, you will have to change the wiring harness on the back of the guage cluster from the idiot light to needls guages.
