IF I HAVE THE "SMALL HUMP", HOW CAN I GET A "LARGE HUMP" REPLACEMENT? CLEARENCE UNDER THE CAB IS LOOKING REALLY TIGHT. THANKS, JAKE

I had that problem, went to salvage and had them cut the firewall to get the panel in front of the removeable transmission cover. Then removed spot welds then welded it onto my truck. The back of the coverwill bolt right in. It was a lot of work but my 350 has plenty of room now.

Yup .. That piece next to the firewall is needed if you need the large hump cover. Welding it in is the correct way to go. I used pop rivets with seam sealer. It works, but I'm not happy with the seal. You can't actually see it because it's covered with carpet, but I know it's there. That will be corrected shortly.

    Yup,

I had to replace mine (the piece in front of the hump cover)due to damage and rust, and had trouble getting the pieces to line up. After drilling out the spot welds in the donor piece, I used #8 screws in every other hole to get the piece to fit flush to the lip of metal it needed to be welded to. After rosette welding the open holes to the lip, I took the screws out and welded up the remaining holes.

One thing I wish I had done was to brace up the cab before removing that piece, I'm not sure if the cab was already tweaked or if removing the piece let the cab shift a bit, but I should have supported the cab just to be safe.
