I just recently purchased a 1962 Chevy Stepside C-10 Model. I replaced the taillamps on the back of the truck (it had ford taillamps on it!!!) to the original style. I replaced the wiring harnesses under the dash, along the frame to the rear end and the rear harness as well. The turn signals still would not work. I then replaced the turn signal mechanism in the steering column. When I did this I found that the cable that runs down the steering column did not attach to the turn signal switch. The switch itself works, but I can not get the cable attached. None of the Chevy Classic dealers I know of carry this cable. Any suggestions on a fix? Or does anyone have a 62 that they are parting out that I might be able to but this piece?
