63 6 cyl carb problem

My son and i just bought this p/u. Got it runing however when i go to step on the gas it bogs down. we rebuilt carb as it was sitting for a while.no real change we have a new cap/rotor points. all plugs are firing. fuel line is bent a little but seems to be adquate fuel flow from pump. could dwell be off. also vacum advance is working.
Help my son whats to start driving it

If fuel line is kinked fix that, change fuel filter.
Verify timing is set to specs.
Check plugs and wires. (don't forget the coil and coil wire)
