Stumbled upon this on another site and felt the need to share. It appears that 2006 Honda Civic coupe door weatherstrip works great on our 1964-1966 trucks. It pushes right on and fits without any modifications, per Rob Fisher here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=617703 Hondapartscheap.com They are called Front Door Opening Seals and described as Graphite Black. Brand new in genuine Honda packaging was $38.92 per side. P/N 72315-SVA-A01ZA, right side. P/N 72355-SVA-A01ZA, left side. Probably could get a good used set at the salvage yard for a 20 dollar bill.
that;s kind of funny, I read that too and when I saw the post name I was thinking (before even reading it) that I was gonna post it. Bookmarked it
Thanks for the tip I will be buying that stripping. However could you help out with the door weatherstrip around the windows. I don't even know where to start. For one thing do I take out the metal that the fussy and the rubber go in or reuse it. I am not sure if you should take it out. there isn't any fussy left. Are there picks anywhere on removal and the instillation. I have painted the cab and now working on the doors. Thanks
Glass Channels & Fuzzies I have some photo's on my build thread, page 5. Here's a link: https://talk.classicparts.com/showthread.php?t=13928&page=5
great tip... Leave it to good old "home garage" engineering to solve problems. I like the part where he says he was stripping the seal off his daughters civic before she got out of it.
I understand these are now harder to find than hens teeth.... they are sold out from all the 63-66 guys scarfing them up
