the truck i am working on for a cousin had points and now he has changed to hei but the old wire yellow in color i believe went to the condensor and the dummy lights on the dash are on and the coil green wire has not got 12volts but if you ground the yellow wire it all works correctly is this the way it should be wired or is there an update kit for the wiring
RE: 64 truck originaly had points n Just wire the HEI to a good 12 volt source off the fuse panel, or splice into the pink ignition wire on the back of the ignition switch. Dennis
